Safety Before Treatment.
At Piko Laser Clinic, patient safety is prioritised at every stage of care. Laser treatments are performed within a clearly defined clinical scope, with careful assessment, conservative treatment planning and ongoing monitoring throughout the treatment process. Not every patient or skin condition is suitable for laser treatment. Where concerns exist, treatment may be delayed, modified, or declined entirely.
Western Australian Radiological Council Compliance
Piko Laser Clinic operates in accordance with the requirements of the Radiological Council of Western Australia.
This includes:
current licensing requirements for all staff who operate the laser machine
current registration for the laser machine and premises
laser safety standards and protocols
appropriate treatment protocols
skin assessment and referral processes
Where required, patients may be asked to obtain GP or specialist clearance prior to commencing treatment. Any suspicious, changing or medically concerning lesions are referred for medical assessment and are not treated within clinic scope.
Conservative Treatment Philosophy
Laser treatments are approached conservatively and progressively. This means:
gradual treatment plans
careful selection of treatment settings at every appointment
staged sessions based on tissue response
prioritising skin integrity over aggressive treatment
The goal is not to “over-treat” the skin, but to support safe and sustainable improvement over time.
Evidence-Informed Care
Treatment recommendations are guided by current clinical understanding and evidence, your individual skin and health history and your response to laser treatment.
Patients receive honest information about likely outcomes and treatment limitations. We discuss possible risks and expected recovery timelines. No treatment is presented as guaranteed or risk-free.
