Three wavelengths for different pigments.

The Quanta Discovery Pico gives Piko Laser Clinic access to three laser wavelengths — 1064 nm, 532 nm and 694 nm Ruby — as well as picosecond and nanosecond pulse technology. Different colours absorb different wavelengths of light, so having several options allows treatment to be adjusted as the pigment changes throughout the removal process.

The laser delivers extremely short pulses of energy that fragment the tattoo pigment into progressively smaller particles. Your body's immune system then processes these particles over the weeks following treatment. This is why fading continues well after the laser session itself and why adequate spacing between treatments is important.

A considered approach rather than one-size-fits-all treatment.

During your consultation, we assess your skin type, tattoo location, colours, pigment behaviour and previous cosmetic tattooing before developing a treatment plan. We will also discuss your treatment goals - complete removal isn't always necessary. For many people, carefully fading an old brow or lip tattoo provides enough clearance for their cosmetic tattoo artist to create a softer, more natural result.

Treatments are generally spaced around 6–10 weeks apart or longer when clinically appropriate, allowing the skin to recover and giving your body time to continue processing fragmented pigment. Topical anaesthetic can be used where appropriate, and the Zimmer Cryo 7 provides controlled skin cooling before, during and after laser treatment to improve comfort and help minimise unnecessary thermal stress to the surrounding skin.

The aim isn't to rush the process. It is to remove or reduce unwanted pigment while protecting the integrity of your natural skin, eyebrow hair and surrounding tissue as much as possible.

Start with a consultation and a considered, clinical approach.

During your consultation, we’ll analyse your skin type, tattoo location, and pigment composition to design the safest, most effective treatment plan. medical tattoo removal is no longer “one-size-fits-all” — it’s a customised, evidence-based process. Sessions usually take place 6–8 weeks apart to allow full healing and clearance between treatments. For comfort, numbing can be applied beforehand, and advanced skin cooling is used during and after treatment to minimise irritation and protect surrounding skin.
